Memories

It's been a long road
And I'm looking back in time
These walls are filled with memories
Of a different kind of life
Times I carried burdens
Lying face to the ground

Where are they now
Where are they now

Pages of the albums turning
faces smiling back
Regrets from moments I have lost
Walking down that track
Times I wasted conversations
Answers never found

Where are they now
Where are they now

In Your hands
Lifted high
They can spread their wings and fly
In Your hands
They'll be fine
You're the Author of their lives
They are Yours
Not mine
This time

They are Yours rpt 3
We are Yours rpt 3

In Your hands
Lifted high
We can spread our wings and fly
In Your hands
We'll be fine
You're the Author of our lives
We are Yours
We are Yours
All the time

He Wont Stop Yet

It’s difficult to say
Why working each day
Without any pay
Can chip away
At your self esteem
No matter where you’ve been
Or what you’ve seen
It’s tough, it seems
To hold your head high
Keep your eyes to the sky
And know that the time
Was worth your while
And that someone out there
Not quite sure where
Will rise from their chair
Approach you and share
That it’s all been a test
Not simply in jest
But a moulding, a quest
To bring out your best
So that one day you’ll find
Your perception was blind
And your life left behind
Is no ordinary kind
But one that was spent
On the lives that were sent
One by one, every friend
Those who came and then went
And though no-one quite knows
What’s your job I suppose
And your role’s been unclear
From each year to year
But there’s One who’s smiling from ear to ear
It’s He that has wiped every unseen tear
And His Words then return
And again you discern
That it’s not what you earn
Which defines where you’ll turn
But listen in close
To your soul’s Divine Host
And He’ll tell you the most
Precious plan that He chose
For your pathway ahead
No need to dread
It’s He that has led
And He wont stop yet

As Worlds Collide

I’m trying to decide
How will I cope as worlds collide
When things have changed deep down inside
And what remains I cannot hide

I want to change this world
I want to see it’s gifts unfurled
These paths before me have uncurled
Yet so much so, it’s all a swirl

What’s first, what’s last, what’s in-between
O how to plan this new routine
A journey through an epic scene
Not some bespoke machine

I want to hear, to see, to know
Without it being just a show
I always want to learn and grow
And push through every blow

So I will look, and there I'll find
Each cloud out there that's silver-lined
And all these dreams within my mind
Will gradually unwind

When things have changed deep down inside
And what remains I cannot hide
I'll see the beauty far and wide
And I will fly as worlds collide

Carries Me

Your praise is on my lips
Your worship in my heart
How can I not pour my love out
Every hidden part

Take all of me
Take all of me
Even if I have nothing to give
Your love, is all I need

Take all of me
Take all that you see
Over the mountains
Down in the valleys
Your love is flowing free
And it carries me

You saw my weary heart
You felt my heavy shame
No-one else could understand
Yet You loved me the same

Take all of me
Take all of me
Even if I have nothing to give
Your love, is all I need

Take all of me
Take all that you see
Over the mountains
Down in the valleys
Your love is flowing free
And it carries me

Cover Me

Standing there
My failings bared
What will I learn
From this despair
But I know You're there
And I know You care

All is stripped away
Nothing left to mask my shame
All is stripped away
But I will wait
For You to cover me

Standing here
Fascade is down
Fall to my knees
Face to the ground
Need you to carry me
Need you to cover me

All is stripped away
Nothing left to mask my shame
All is stripped away
But I will wait
For You to cover me

You lift my face
You speak
With Your unfailing grace
You lift my eyes
Point to the distance
And paint a new horizon

All is stripped away
Nothing left to mask my shame
All is stripped away
But I will wait
For You to cover me

More Than Anything

Time moves on
Seasons change
But You, my Strength
Remain the same
You’ve been in my shoes
Walked my road
You see the tears
That others don’t

More than anything
More than anything
I need You more than anything
More than the air I breath
More than riches I see
I need You more than anything

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all." NIV Isaiah 53:3-6

Fight for You

I feel it rise inside of me
A deep desire to see you free
I hear the pain within your words
And yearn to see it be removed
I know that pain is part of life
I know there’s purpose in your strife
But when the pressure seems so strong
When situations last so long
When hope seems almost spent and gone
When you repeat the same sad song
I wish that I could lift the load
I wish that I could join your road
Does wishing help in any way?
Does freedom come from words I say?
I’ve learnt enough to know that I can’t
Release that load that burns in your heart
But I will try with all my might
To somehow join you there in the fight
To be a friend in darkest night
To lift you up till things are right
And when the fighting’s over, finished, done
I'll celebrate for all you've won
