He Wont Stop Yet

It’s difficult to say
Why working each day
Without any pay
Can chip away
At your self esteem
No matter where you’ve been
Or what you’ve seen
It’s tough, it seems
To hold your head high
Keep your eyes to the sky
And know that the time
Was worth your while
And that someone out there
Not quite sure where
Will rise from their chair
Approach you and share
That it’s all been a test
Not simply in jest
But a moulding, a quest
To bring out your best
So that one day you’ll find
Your perception was blind
And your life left behind
Is no ordinary kind
But one that was spent
On the lives that were sent
One by one, every friend
Those who came and then went
And though no-one quite knows
What’s your job I suppose
And your role’s been unclear
From each year to year
But there’s One who’s smiling from ear to ear
It’s He that has wiped every unseen tear
And His Words then return
And again you discern
That it’s not what you earn
Which defines where you’ll turn
But listen in close
To your soul’s Divine Host
And He’ll tell you the most
Precious plan that He chose
For your pathway ahead
No need to dread
It’s He that has led
And He wont stop yet
