Speak Life

Knowing what should be
Yet stuck in reality
Feel healing that chould be
And know it's not from me
Seeing the unseen
So perfect, so clearly
He's there in the distance
Yet walking right near me
These moments of victory
Outweighing the tragedy
Simple, inviting
Glimpse of tranquility
Move us in Your time
Perfect in every way
Speaking what’s truth
Every word You say
Prophecy, people
Call forth His Spirit
Speak life, people
This world needs to hear it

Covenant

Massacres throughout the land
Blood on our hands
Bodies on the ground
Breathe no longer found
Scars on our arms
Our own bodies we’d harm
Scars on our hearts
From games we play
So deep they stay
As flesh melts away
Left with stone
Innocence gone
Why do You persist, Lord, in keeping Your covenant?
Why do You insist Your love will last forever?
What’s in it for You?
It’s a one-way street
With love flowing free
Yet no return
Investments burn
There’s no explanation
No quick calculation
No rhyme or reason
Such grace among treason
Will we ever understand
These outstretched hands
Loving testament
Heavens Covenant

Hold Her Heart

The questions come
Without response
With every memory
Pain engulfs
You see the tears
That others don't
You wipe them dry
When others won't
Hold her heart Lord
Hold it near
Embrace the one
That You hold dear

We Will Not Be Moved

Take these empty vessels
Fill them with Your treasure
We will not be moved
We will not be moved from You
Take these lifeless bones
And breath in them Your own life
We will not be moved
We will not be moved from You

Whom You’ve taken
Can’t be shaken
Whom You’ve lifted
Cannot fall
You whose blood was shed for ransom
You’re the One who holds them all

Take these broken hearts
And bring a brand new start
We will not be moved
We will not be moved from You
Take these shattered dreams
And resurrect eternity
We will not be moved
We will not be moved from You

Whom You’ve taken
Can’t be shaken
Whom You’ve lifted
Cannot fall
You whose blood was shed for ransom
You’re the One who holds them all

We will not be moved
We will not be moved
We will not be moved
We will not be moved from You

Ode to Friendship

This is my ode
To the friends
That have showed
All the care in the world
As they've carried the load
Through the trials
I’ve faced
Through that rocky place
When each step ahead
Seemed too hard to bear
And the strength I had left
Was continually spent
And the little I could give
Was met with assurance
That I’d done my part
In returning the heart
Though it seemed so small
Yet felt like my all
And you knew if I could
You’d receive so much more
Which I know you deserve
And that’s why now I serve
This ode that is due
This ode is for YOU

Be Still

Stranded
Abandoned
Arms stretched wide
Seems like no-one's at your side
Only loud persistent voices
Yelling out their only choices
This and that will set things straight
This and that will be your fate
Block the noises
Crouch down low
Soon the booming sounds will go
Leave behind the sound of violence
Focus on the warmth of silence
In the stillness
In the calm
There’s just one voice
Don’t be alarmed
His purpose not to rant
Nor chaste
But instead
A sweeter taste
A softer lull
A gentler tone
More familiar
Than your own
Instead of harm
A soothing balm
From He who chose
To bare His palm
Yes He who played no sinful move
Will meet you there
Will voice His love
Instead of harm
A soothing balm
From He who chose
To bare His palm
"Be still and know I'm God" He says
"Be still and have your needed rest
Those mountains there in front you see
They're minute bumps to One like Me
You've done your best
You've played your part
Now stop and watch
The fireworks start
It's I who'll stand
I'll take command
For on the cross
I bared My hands"

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:1-3, 10 NIV
