You've Given

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms" Ephesians 1:17-20 NIV

I know it in my head; let me feel it in my heart - what You've given to me

You say that You're all that I need
Here I come arms wide and empty
You say that Your Word strengthens me
Spirit rise up and consume me!

You've given me all that I need
Your power is at work within me
Open my eyes so that I can see
You've given me all that I need

I say to my enemies “Flee!”
Relentlessly they are pursuing
You say all my chains will release
Spirit rise up set me free

There's healing in this house
Freedom in this house
Come fill this house, Take over!

Fullness of Love

In my sin I was broken
And I could not let You in
But my heart came alive
When You took Your place inside

Now I know the hope of Your calling
The riches of Your glory
Now I know the fullness of Your love

May my eyes now be open
To the power of the Lord
May my heart still believe
What is written in Your Word

How high, how deep, how far it’s reach
Like no other love it comforts me
How far and wide, how strong inside
It’s the power that conquered death (to repeat chorus)
And changes me

My Heart Belongs to You

I've found only one thing that fully satisfies in this life - every other source leaves me dry... Jesus, my heart belongs to You

My source of life, my sanity
The sweetest things You are to me
My only hope, my lasting peace
My saving grace, my soul release

This wilderness is not my home
This dried up place is not my own
My heart belongs to You alone

No more striving in my strength
I’ve found the hope that has no end
It’s all in You, It’s all in You
So much more in You
No more striving in my strength
I’ve found the hope that has no end
It’s all in You, it’s all in You
My heart belongs to You (rpt)

My source of strength, my vertigo
The wildest times, I’ll share with You
My mighty shield, my fortress wall
My sword of power, You have it all

Jesus it’s all in You x4

My hope is (all in You)
My strength is (all in You)
My peace is (all in You)
You’re my security
My heart is (all in You)
My soul is (all in You)
My mind is (all in You)
You’re my identity

Jesus it’s all in You (x3) My heart belongs to You

Restoration

"When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
"The Lord has done great things for them."
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."
Psalm 126 NIV

After a week of what has seemed like an endless attack of negative thoughts and emotions running wild, I was encouraged by a friend to push through in worship. My God is a great God and He does Great things! Here is my song of restoration

Lord I come into Your throneroom
Lord I come before Your throne
I know our trials are not in vain
I know there’s purpose in our pain
Give me a glimpse of what’s to come
What’s left behind when all is said and done

You have done great things, You have done great things (x2)

Our captive souls are finally free
Our broken hearts have been released
We’ve become like those who dream
The nations now will hear our scream
We’ll run the race fulfill Your plan
And feel the joy as in Your will we stand

You have done great things, You have done great things (x2)
You’ve restored the years, You’ve restored the years

We’ve sown in tears, We’ve wept for years (x3)
But we’ll return with songs of joy, singing

Lord I come into Your throneroom
Lord I come before Your throne

Holding Me

Many thanks goes to my good friend Sheryl Paraiso who worked on this song with me!

Just the other day
I was sure I heard You say
That it’s time to hold tight
As I take your breath away
And I tried to imagine
Just what that could mean
Never guessed that my dreams
Would be wiped away clean

With my heart laying bare
Screaming weaknesses there
All I could do was fight
For my mind to be spared
And I tried to imagine
Just what it could mean
If my page was wiped clean
And I’d once again dream

Was it pride to believe
That You would choose to use me?
Was it wrong to stand tall
When I could take a fall?
But I can’t stay down long
For Your Spirit is strong
And Your Spirit is what’s holding me

I will still believe
That You choose to use me
That You stand me up tall
That You catch every fall
And I can’t stay down long
For Your Spirit is strong
And Your Spirit is what holds
(rpt ends... what’s holding me)

More of Him

I had it figured out
This thing called love
Practiced, polished, and perfected
I’d held it’s secrets in my grasp
Mastering the ups and downs
And waltzing on its waves
But human love has limits
Fragile motives, fractured states
And if left within my hands
Would surely break

I still look at you with love
Still wish that you could know and feel
You’re not alone, you’re not unknown,
But I know now that all I have
Is not enough for you
What you need
Is more of Him and less of me

I had it figured out
Your future planned
Free and faith-filled, moving forward
I’d passed life’s secrets from my grasp
Mastering its ups and downs
And waltzing on its waves
But all wisdom has limits
Fragile motives, fractured states
And if left within my hands
You’d surely break

I still look at you with love
Still wish that you could know and feel
You’re not alone, you’re not unknown,
But I know now that all I have
Is not enough for you
What you need
Is more of Him and less of me

The Lord's Prayer

Lord Your Kingdom come on earth
Let Your will be done
Give us all we need
To live this life
Wipe away our guilt and shame
Give us strength to do the same
Keep us lifting glory to Your name

We lift You up higher
In our lives, in our lives
Lift you up higher
In our lives, lift You high
