The Grand Masterpiece

I've found a new fear
Afraid of what's unclear
The things I've begun
Their purpose undone
Unraveled like wool
As it falls from the spool
Though initial intent
Felt so strong and the pull
So intense that I knew
I would see the task through
But the end's never reached
And instead I am beached
With my hand to the plough
But the ground still unturned
And I quickly reflect
On what must have been learnt
But the 'i's aren't dotted
The 't's aren't crossed
And the meaning I'd planned
Temporarily lost
So I look to the future
In hope that I'll find
A project attainable
Something explainable
A little less risk
Perhaps, can't decide
Is it pride?
Both to hold back
And shoot for the sky
Ok then let's go
Let's give it a shot
Why not?
For there's only One
Who's seen it all through
When He hung on the cross
Then emerged from the tomb
'It is finished', He said
What more can be done?
All the plans I've begun
Only make sense within
The tapestry He's spun
And my work is woven
Between all His threads
And their purpose remaining
Unclear till the end
Though my part's unfinished
Odd-shaped, misplaced
If I stand back
Squint my eyes, tilt my head
I can smile at the style
Of the piece that I've shared
And I know my Creator
Who's hands are untainted
Will lift its potential
And shift my perspective
Then finally release
The grand masterpiece
